Turning the Nation’s road infrastructure into a network of stormwater treatment systems

Abstract

I had the pleasure to attend & present at the 2020 Rain or Shine Symposium organized online thanks to the Council for Watershed Healt. It was inspiring to listen from different agency leaders including Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and the California Secretary for Natural Resources Wade Crowfoot talk about environmental policies and how to get the community more involved with environmental issues. I had the chance to share some results of the project developed at UCLA SEALab that envisions the development of a multi-functional road system.
